Herbal Medicine: a Guide to Single Herbs and their Clinical Application

Ma Huang (Herba Ephedrae) and Gui Zhi (Ramulus Cinnamomi) disperse wind-cold in the taiyang channels.
Ma Huang is the stronger of the two to induce perspiration and release the exterior. Therefore, it is more suitable for exterior conditions. In addition, Ma Huang dilates the Lung to relieve dyspnea and wheezing, and increases urine output to reduce edema.

Gui Zhi, moderate in potency, treats both excess and deficiency cases of wind-cold invasion. Gui Zhi warms the channels, the chest and the chong (thoroughfare) channel to treat bi zheng (painful obstruction syndrome), arthritis, chest pain and palpitations caused by cold and phlegm accumulation, and irregular menstruation or lower abdominal pain and coldness.

Qiang Huo (Rhizoma et Radix Notopterygii) relieves arthritic pain, especially in the upper body. Qiang Huo relieves pain of the taiyang Urinary Bladder channel, when there is neck and occipital stiffness and pain.

Zi Su Ye (Folium Perillae) disperses wind-cold, and regulates Spleen and Stomach qi. It expands the chest to relieve congestion, relieves nausea and vomiting, stabilizes the fetus during pregnancy, and relieves abdominal pain and diarrhea associated with seafood poisoning, all of which are problems caused by qi stagnation in the middle jiao.Zi Su Ye’s function of diaphoresis is not as strong as that of Ma Huang or Gui Zhi; it is therefore more suitable for clearing mild wind-cold invasions.

All four of these herbs treat wind-cold, a condition characterized by aversion to wind and cold, chills more prominent than fever, body aches, the absence of perspiration, a thin, white tongue coating and superficial, tight pulse. Additional uses include treatment of dyspnea, cough, wheezing, edema, bi zheng (painful obstruction syndrome), arthritis, and dermatological disorders including but not limited to sores and abscesses.

Name and Description: Ephedrae Herba / Má Huáng

There are 11 kinds of medicinal ephedra in my country, and the main varieties in Hexi Corridor are Ephedra sinica, Ephedra equisetifolia, Ephedra sinica and Ephedra sinica. Among them, Ephedra sinica has a large distribution area, high grade and good quality. It is the main purchase target of ephedra processing plants and the main cultivated species.
Site preparation and fertilization: Ephedra is best planted in neutral sandy loam with deep soil, good drainage and rich nutrients. At the same time, it is necessary to apply sufficient base fertilizer in combination with land preparation. Generally, over 5,000 kg of decomposed farmyard manure, 40 to 45 kg of standard nitrogen fertilizer, and 45 kg of potassium dihydrogen phosphate are applied per mu.

Chinese Materia Medica Classics: Ephedrae Herba / Má Huáng
Shen Nong’s Materia Medica”: “Mainly stroke, typhoid fever, headache, and febrile malaria. Express sweating, remove evil heat, relieve cough and reverse qi, remove cold and heat, and cure the accumulation of symptoms.” [4] “Famous Doctors”: “Through the principles, relieve the muscles.” [4] “Compendium of Materia Medica”: “Ephedra is a special medicine for the lung meridian, so it is often used to treat lung diseases. Zhang Zhongjing treats typhoid fever, uses ephedra for non-sweat, and Guizhi for sweating.” [4] Related discourse

① “Decoction of Materia Medica”: “Ephedra is the best medicine for health, and Guizhi is the medicine for health deficiency. Although Guizhi and ephedra are medicines for the sun, they are also medicines for Rongwei. The lung is the main body of the body (qi), and the heart Zhurong (for blood), Diephedrine is an agent for hand lunar yin, and Guizhi is an agent for hand Shaoyin. Therefore, those who cough with typhoid fever and cold, use Ephedra and Guizhi, which is the source of the soup.”

Materia Medica: “Ephedra is light but can be cured, so it is the first to cure typhoid fever. It is the first for relieving muscles. Specializing in stroke, typhoid, headache, temperature malaria, expressing sweating, and removing evil spirits, covered with wind, cold and dampness. Between the yang and the fur, the law is closed, Rongwei’s qi and blood cannot be controlled, so it is said to be true. This medicine is light and clear, so it can eliminate its constrains and make the evils disperse from the surface; those who cough up the qi, Wind-cold depression is also in the hands and too yin; cold and hot, the evil is on the surface; the five internal organs are in an emergency, the five slow and the sixth is also urgent; the wind and the pain are also under the threat of the wind evil guest, and the disease is also Weishi. Wei Zhong Feng Han Once the evil is dispersed, all the evidences that come up will be eliminated. If the red and dark spots are eliminated on the day, if it is in the spring and summer, it is not suitable. It is not possible to break the solid and accumulate. Jie Guyun: Go to Rongzhonghan Evil, venting the heat of the wind and heat, is a sure thing. Too much service makes people feel vain, and it disperses the vitality of the essence.”

③”Tongxuan Materia Medica”: “Ephedra is light to remove the truth. It is the first drug to be published. It is only suitable when the winter season shows cold evil. Although fever and cold, headache, body pain, urgency and pulse Those who are not tight can not be used. Although the symptoms of sweating, you should also check the severity of the disease. If you are not enough, you should not take it. Cover sweat is the fluid of the heart. If you can’t sweat and sweat it, you can pass it through sweat. Sweat, then your heart and blood will be shaken, or you will lose your yang, or you will have a bad symptom due to blood overflow, you can be cautious and cautious.”

④ “Medicine Huayi”: “Ephedra is a medicine for dispelling evil spirits. However, those with deficiency of vitality, coldness or weakness due to exertion, should not be used. If it is misused, spontaneous perspiration will not stop, the muscles will be alert to the flesh, and will die. Yang syndrome. Before and after the vernal equinox, the Yuan Palace is easy to open. If you suffer from full sun channel syndrome, the wave of cold becomes febrile disease. Before and after the summer solstice, the yang qi is floating outside, the skin film is vented, everyone is qi deficiency, such as suffering from foot sun syndrome, cold and heat syndrome, do not sweat too much, so that the vitality is first vented, so use four or five points less. Dissolve, dissolve the muscle surface slightly, and clear the inside. These two are the methods of Liu Hejian’s “Yuanji”, which are outstanding through the ages. If you feel a storm at four times, block your lungs, cough and sound dumb, or have a stuffy nose and a full chest, or If you have a lot of phlegm, you can use Sanao Decoction to disperse the lung evil, which is very effective. It is very effective to cut the rash and relieve the heat evil, so as to express the emotion and lung with almonds.”

⑤ “Materia Medica Zhengyi”: “Ephedra is the first medicine for treating feelings. Although it is said to relieve the surface, it is actually to open the lung, although it is called to dispel cold, it is actually to vent evil. The wind-cold is solid and dissipated, that is, warm and heat can be promoted. Observation on “Materia Medica” mainly treats apoplexy and typhoid, removes evil heat, except cold and heat, and treats wind-heat spotted rash, and heat-blocking is not benevolent in future generations. The purpose of the malaria miasma can be seen. Moreover, the Zhongjing Mahuang Decoction specializes in the sun sickness and cold injury camp. The ephedra and the Guizhi well are used for dispelling the cold. If you do not go with the Guizhi, you will not be expert. It mainly dispels cold and sweats. Suppresses ephedra to vent the lungs, not only to evacuate foreign evils, but also to suffocate the lung qi, and has no right to treat the festival. That is to say, it is light to open it, such as Zhongjing Gancao Mahuang Decoction Treatment of edema and swelling, “Qianjin” ephedra mellow wine decoction used to treat episodic jaundice, and later generations used ephedra to treat edema and asthma. Urinating is not good for all methods. Feeling evil on the outside. It is also common for cold pathogens to constrain the lungs, but nasal congestion is dumb; hot evils suffocate the lungs, but it is muddy nose and nose; water stains the lungs, but the face is floating and wheezing; the flaming lungs are qi-heat Rough breath, as well as internal burning of dry fire, external cooling of new cold, dry cough and dryness, etc., all believe that it is the important task of dredging the lungs and preserving and purging, compared with the suppression of apricot, shellfish, mulberry, loquat leaves, etc. For those who are obliterated, the merits and crimes are not bad. Ephedra is the lightest in nature and has a weak smell. Although “Materia Medica” is said to be bitter and warm, it is also suspended for its function, but it is gentle to raise the ears. It is a popular fear. Almost thought that the medicine of great temperature and heat, then Li Linhu’s “Compendium of Sexual Heat” is wrong. And Miao’s “Jingshu” is even more exaggerated, competing with the saying that there is a lot of pungency and a fever. I don’t know. When ephedra is sweating, it must be warmed with warm clothing. It is the beginning of sweating. No warming and no sweating. This is the one who can be confirmed since the treatment. And also only the cold evil is on the surface, it is advisable to sweat less, so as to solve the problem. It expresses the cold and heat of evil. If it is used to vent the lungs and open the dark, and it does not get rid of the sweat, it will work very quickly, not to mention the flirty sex, once it passes, it must not be profusely sweating, nostalgic for the power of the medicine, and the power is huge. ”

⑥ “This Sutra”: “Mainly stroke, typhoid fever, headache, and febrile malaria. Expressing sweating, removing evil heat, relieving cough and reversing qi, removing cold and heat, and breaking down accumulation.”

⑦”Farewell Record”: “Mainly the five internal organs are slow and urgent, the wind and hypochondriac pain, the word and breast disease. Good saliva, clear the body, relieve the muscles, vent the evil spirits, and eliminate the red and dark spots.”

⑧ “Medicinal Nature Theory”: “Cures the body’s toxic wind and stubbornness, and the skin and the flesh are insensitive.”

⑨ “Southern Yunnan Materia Medica”: “Cures obstruction of the nose and orifices, the smell is not smelling, and the lungs are cold and cough.”

⑩ “Compendium”: “Disperse red mouth, swelling and pain, edema, wind swelling, postpartum blood stagnation.” [1]

Chinese Materia Medica Classics: Folium Perillae / zĭ sū yè
Perilla from Tao Hongjing: (Perilla) under the leaves is purple, and the smell is very fragrant. It has no purple, no fragrant, and stubble-like ones. It is named Ye Su and is not used.

The Sketch Book“: Perilla, purple under the leaves, and very fragrant, picking stems and leaves in summer, and fruit in autumn. There are several species of Su, including Stachys, Bai Su, Yu Su, and Shan Yu Su, all of which are fern. Bai Su Fang has round stems and round leaves, not purple, but also very fragrant, and it is actually used as medicine. Yusu is like fungus, with big leaves and fragrant. Wu people are known as fish cooks, and a Yushu. The famous mountain fish Sui between the raw mountains and rocks, the main resting dysentery, the frequency of small and small streams, the dry rice drink is adjusted and taken, and it is effective.

Compendium“: Perilla and Baisu are all planted in February or March, or the perisha grows on the ground. Its stem is square, its leaves are round and pointed, and there are serrations around it; those with rich soil have purple faces and backs, those with barren soils have blue faces and purple backs, and those with white faces and backs are white su, which is also scutellaria. When the perilla is tender, the leaves are picked, and the vegetables are ruined, or the salt and plum brine are very fragrant for ZU food, and the summer months are used for cooked soup.
Five and June are harvested with roots, simmer the roots with fire, and dry in the shade, so that the leaves will not fall for a long time. In August, the thin purple flowers bloom, and the ears are like nepeta ears. When September is half dry, the seeds are harvested. The seeds are as thin as mustard seeds and are yellowish red. You can also take oil like stubble oil. Today there is a kind of flower perilla; its leaves are fine-toothed and densely closed like a cut shape, and the fragrant stems are the same. It is called Huisu.

Perilla has been cultivated and used in China for about 2000 years. It is mainly used for medicinal, oil, spice, edible and other aspects. Its leaves (sue leaves), stems (sue stems), and fruits (sue stalks) can all be used as medicine. , The young leaves can be eaten raw and used as soup, and the stems and leaves can be submerged. In recent years, perilla has become a multi-purpose plant that has attracted worldwide attention due to its unique active substances and nutrients, and has high economic value. Russia, Japan, South Korea, the United States, Canada and other countries have carried out a large number of commercial cultivation of perilla plants, and developed dozens of perilla products such as edible oil, medicines, submerged products, and cosmetics.
1. “Don’t Record“: Mainly release the breath and remove the cold.
2. Meng Xu: In addition to cold and heat, treat air-conditioning.
3. “Rihuazi Materia Medica“: nourishing the middle and nourishing qi. Cure the fullness of the heart, stop cholera to turn tendons, appetite and eat, and (cure) all air-conditioning, stop beriberi.

6. “Southern Yunnan Materia Medica“: sweating, relieving colds and headaches, eliminating phlegm, stopping roaring and asthma.
7. “Compendium“: Broad movement of the qi, eliminates phlegm and helps the lungs, harmonizes blood, warms the middle, relieves pain, relieves asthma, and prevents fetuses.
8. “Materia Medica Fengyuan“: It can disperse the evil of blood.
9. “Materia Medica” and “Compendium” Perilla is an important medicine in modern times. Its taste is pungent, enters qi, its color is purple, enters blood. Therefore, the same with orange peel and Amomum villosum can promote qi and anti-fetus; with Huoxiang and Wuyao, it can warm and relieve pain; with Xiangfu and Ephedra, it will sweat and relieve muscle; with Xiongqiang and Angelica, it will harmonize and disperse blood; With papaya and magnolia, it can relieve dampness and relieve heat and treat cholera athlete’s foot; with platycodon and citrus aurantium, it can benefit the intestines; with almond and raspberry, it can relieve phlegm and relieve asthma.
10. “Materia Medica Huiyan” Perilla, dispelling cold qi, clearing lung qi, widening middle qi, easing fetal qi, lowering qi, and flower phlegm qi, it is also the magic medicine for treating qi. One thing has three functions: such as cold and typhoid, headache and bone pain, aversion to cold and fever, unfavorable limbs, or beriberi hernia, if the evil depression is on the surface, Su Ye can dispel the evil and relieve the surface; stagnation and fullness of the chest, chest If the diaphragm is unfavorable, or the fetal gas is forced upwards, and the abdomen and hypothermia are swollen and painful, Su Geng can smoothly and broadly; if or when asthma is reversed, Su Zi can breathe down. The phlegm is rushing, and Suzi can reduce the fire and clear the phlegm. The three methods are different, and the method should be detailed.
11. “Medicine Huayi” Perilla leaf is what happened. Xin Wen Neng San, qi-thin energy-passing, taste-poor venting, special anti-muscle release, treatment of cold and typhoid, and malaria at the beginning, exogenous cholera, damp-heat beriberi, and the most important medicine for exopathic symptoms. Danxi treats damp-heat disease after the vernal equinox, headache, body heat, spine-strength eye pain, dry nose and thirst. Every time it is used with Pueraria lobata root and Angelica dahurica, it dissolves through Liushen power, helps its prestige, sweats and relieves muscles, and its disease is as sweeping. Take its spicy fragrance to treat depression, stagnation of the chest and diaphragm, and drink to distract the heart, and the heart is happy and hot. Such as cold stagnation abdominal pain, fire stagnation dysentery, damp stagnation diarrhea, less adjuvant two or three points, it is most appropriate to relax the surface and relieve the muscle from the inside. Shen Su Yin cures colds and colds in people with deficiency, and the prescription has one tonic and one loose, which has profound meaning. If you don’t follow its righteousness, subtract the ginseng, or take it if you don’t, or the evil will not dissipate and righteousness will be weak.
12. “Materia Medica Zhengyi” (Perilla) is a new promulgation agent, which is also a light agent. Therefore, those who are mainly angry can make it proclaim, and those who are angry can make it proclaim. The leaves are inclined to Xuan San, the stems are inclined to Xuan Tong, and the Zi has both, and the sex is slightly slower.
“Materia Medica Justice” Perilla has a strong fragrance. The skin is opened on the outside to vent the lungs and qi; the upper is to clear the nose and clear the head, which is an elixir for wind-cold exogenous feelings; the middle is to open the chest and diaphragm, wake up the spleen and stomach, release phlegm and drink, relieve stagnation and promote qi stagnation. Nowadays, people always use stems, leaves, and seeds to divide the main symptoms. The origin of this product is different, and the shape is also different. The stems of those with more leaves are also thin, while those with larger stems have fewer leaves. Therefore, the analysis and treatment are especially precise. The leaf is lightly raised, it can be used for the external sense of wind and cold, evacuate the closed lungs, open up the muscle surface, vent the weather and dissipate the evil, the most agile. The stems are firm, although hollow, but near the roots are great and thick. The giants can be used to relieve internal qi, relieve knots, relieve pain, reduce adverse symptoms, appetite and refresh the spleen. The purpose of solidification is different from that of venting exogenous feelings. The child is smooth and straight, lowering qi, eliminating phlegm, stopping cough and moisturizing the lungs, which is of special interest. Nowadays, the secret of medicine selection is different from that of Song, Jin, Yuan and Ming, and it can not be said that it is a non-pharmaceutical entertainer.
13. “Changsha Yaojie” Su Yexin powder is good at breaking cold and rushing down, expanding the chest and abdomen to eliminate fullness, so it can treat the syndrome of stasis in the chest and pass the meridians to the channel, disperse wind and cold, and solve both Chinese and foreign Medicine also. Perilla) is a new publicizing agent, and it is also a light agent. Therefore, those who are predominantly angry can be proclaimed, and those who are preoccupied can be proclaimed. The leaves are biased towards Xuansan, the stems are biased towards Xuantong, and the seeds are both, and the sex is slightly slower.

Toxicity: Perillone and other ketone compounds are all 3-substituted furan compounds, which show toxic effects on mice, goats and heifers, especially on the lungs, which can be caused by pulmonary edema and pleural exudation. Death, but the route of administration is different, the toxicity is different, 10 mg/kg intravenous injection of perillone can cause death to goats, but 40 mg/kg gavage has no effect. Perillyl alcohol has toxic, irritating and sensitizing effects. In addition, female goats can be fatal by intravenous injection of 10 mg/kg of perillone. If 40 mg/kg gavage can still survive, there is no evidence that the appeal substance is harmful to humans.

02: Jing Jie (schizonepeta),
Fang Feng (siler),
Gao Ben (ligusticum),
Bai Zhi (angelica)

Jing Jie (Herba Schizonepetae) and Fang Feng (Radix Saposhnikoviae) are both excellent herbs to disperse wind.

Jing Jie has a stronger diaphoretic function than Fang Feng. Jing Jie is acrid but mild, slightly warm but not drying, and depending on with what other herbs it is prescribed, disperses either wind-cold or wind-heat. Because the strength of Jing Jie is in dispelling wind, it treats various itching and dermatological disorders in which wind is the underlying cause. Charred Jing Jie stops bleeding.

Fang Feng dispels wind, cold and dampness. It relieves pain in the head, eyes, throat, body, and joints. It relieves arthritis caused by bi zheng (painful obstruction syndrome), or spasms, cramps or tetany from internal Liver wind.

Gao Ben (Rhizoma Ligustici) relieves arthritic pain, especially in the upper body. Gao Ben is best for vertex headaches.

Bai Zhi (Radix Angelicae Dahuricae), acrid and aromatic, addresses wind-cold characterized by frontal headaches, supra-orbital pain, toothache and nasal obstruction. Because it also dries dampness, Bai Zhi treats bi zheng (painful obstruction syndrome), dermatological disorders that involve swelling and pus, and lower abdominal coldness and pain with leukorrhea.

Chinese Materia Medica Classics: Bai Zhi (angelica)
Li Gao: Angelica dahurica, general therapy for wind, its qi is aromatic, can pass the nine orifices, and is indispensable for perspiration.
Wang Haogu: Baizhi is used to treat nasal diseases with Xinyi and Asarum. If you use long muscles to enter the inner support, you can know that you will enter Yangming.
Compendium“: Angelica dahurica, the color is white and the taste is pungent, and the active hand is Yangming; the nature is warm and the qi is thick, the active foot is Yangming; the fragrance is high, starting with the Taiyin Lung Meridian. Diseases such as the head, eyes, eyebrows, and teeth include wind-heat in the three meridians; diseases such as leakage, bandage, and carbuncle, damp and heat in the three meridians; wind-heat is pungent to dissipate, and damp-heat is warm to remove it. It is the main medicine of Yangming, so it can cure blood disease and fetal disease, and excrete pus to produce muscle and relieve pain. Cure nasal deep, epistaxis, tooth pain, brow and bone pain, large intestine constipation, urinary bleeding, women’s blood wind dizziness, stomach vomiting; relieving arsenic poison, snake wounds, sword and arrow gold sores.
Materia Medica Shu“: Angelica dahurica has a spicy taste and non-toxic temperature. Its aroma is strong and it is also fragrant. Starting with foot yangming and foot lunar yin, qi points are removed, and blood points are removed. Ascends more than descends, and yang is also. Good-natured dispels wind and can eat pus, so the housewife misses the red and white. Xin is scattered, mild is used, and the fragrance enters the spleen, so the main blood is to block the yin and swell, cold and heat, and the head wind invades the eyes and tears. The spice disperses knots and enters the blood to relieve pain, so the skin is long. Fragrant and pungent, so it can moisturize. The spicy fragrance is warm and loose, so it can cure wind and evil for a long time, and wind can overcome dampness. The fragrance enters the spleen, so it relieves vomiting. It can treat wind pain in both sides, dizziness and itching of the head, and the effect of dispelling wind.
Materia Medica Huiyan“: Angelica dahurica, the ascendant leader, the lower reaches the stomach and intestines, reaches the limbs, penetrates the skin and even the hair orifices, and relieves evil spirits. Such as headwind and headache, dizziness and dizziness; such as numbness of the limbs, weak feet and paralysis; such as sores and erosions, discharge of pus and long flesh; such as obstruction of the eyes, pain and redness; such as blood closure in women, swollen and leaky vagina; such as Pediatric acne can be cured by pruritus for itching. Angelica dahurica can cure it. The first Xing Wei Xin San, such as headache, paralysis, eye, leakage, carbuncle ulcers, etc., not due to rheumatism and cold pathogens, but due to yin deficiency and qi weakness, and yin deficiency fire, all are forbidden.
Hundred Kinds of Materia Medica“: For all medicines that drive wind, there is no one that does not consume semen, Angelica dahurica is extremely fragrant, can drive wind and dry dampness, its quality is extremely smooth, can harmonize blood, but not wear it, use it It is beneficial to those who are harmless. The ancient people used medicine not only knew the strength of the medicine, but also the shortcomings of the medicine, and then the blood of the person, the symbol of the disease, participated in the research and research, and determined the choice, so it can have obvious effects without hidden harm, this scholar’s place Heartbroken too.
Pursuing the Truth of Materia Medica“: Angelica dahurica has strong temperature and can help to relieve dampness. It is the main medicine for removing wind and dampness in the Foot Yangming Jing. Therefore, it can cure all head and face diseases in Yangming, such as head faint pain, bone pain in the eyebrows, gum bone pain, and black-faced scars. In addition, the wind-heat takes on the lungs, flashes upwards in the brain, and seeps into deep tears; moves to the large intestine, and becomes bleeding and bleeding, intestinal wind and hemorrhoids and fistula ulcer; wind and damp heat, which occur on the skin, become sore and itchy; both can Warm dissipating and relieve support, so that the wind of the law is cleared, the carbuncle that stays in the knot, the swelling and the potential disappears, and the wind is sincere, and the damp fire is also an essential medicine.
Materia Medica Justice“: Angelica dahurica has a pungent and warm smell, very aromatic, and can dry out dampness most. The so-called long skin and moisturizing color in the “Jin Jing” means warming and nourishing. At first, it is not that it can cure external ulcers, which can grow muscles and grow meat; it is actually used to cure breast carbuncle, hair back, scrofula, and hemorrhoids. Fistulas, sores, and scabies are referred to as persistent blood, producing new blood, draining pus and relieving pain. Jie Gu is also said to cure the scalp, face, skin, wind, numbness, and itching. Near the lake, it is said to be white and pungent in taste, warm in nature, and the main medicine for Yangming. Carbuncle is Yangming damp-heat, and damp-heat can be eliminated by warmth, so it drains pus and produces muscles to relieve pain. It is said that the product of rising Xinwen Wen can cure cold and dampness, but must not cure damp heat. But ulcers are disease. There are more than nine out of ten people with dampness and heat, and less than one in ten people with cold and dampness. Hu can rule carbuncle ulcers and fight fire.

The sentence of “Rihuazi” to relieve pus and relieve pain is really out of nothing, and it is based on the principle of medicine. In addition, Jiegu’s so-called dry and itchy skin means fire and dampness, and he is safe to take this pungent medicine. The so-called damp and hot people on the edge of the lake are divided by one sentence, how can it be justified? In short, all the people who have failed to understand the theory and method of ulcer science are also the same.
Kou Zongxi’s “Yan Yi” stated that there is pus in the intestines under the treatment, and there is endless drenching. It is very dirty, and the cold and pain in the umbilical abdomen are all caused by the pus and blood. I call this disease one of the symptoms, cold dampness, stasis, stasis, interlocking, and cold pain in the umbilical abdomen, which are the confirmed symptoms of cold syndrome. Therefore, it is appropriate to use temperature rise and relieve blood stasis to consolidate astringent. Absence of pus is definitely not the excretion of ulcers. Why should it be arrogant as a comparison? If it is regarded as an essential medicine for purging pus, it will cause all kinds of ulcers to heat up, and it will be painful and unspeakable. After treating ulcers for more than 20 years, the decoction contains only dampness and no fire, which is occasionally used, but I dare not try it arbitrarily. If there is this in Ruyi Jinhuang San of the anti-swelling compress, take the pungent to loosen the ears. Daming also said to remove facial defects and scars, which is the meaning of facial fat in the “This Classic”. However, he thought that when treating red eyes and pterygium, the wind and fire would rise sharply, and Wen Xin rose to it. The lake near the lake is called treating the nasal abyss, and covering the nasal abyss is a symptom. There are three differences between wind-cold, wind-heat, and lung-heat stagnation. Wind-cold depresses its lung qi, and nasal congestion and mucus can raise Yang. If wind-heat and turbid nose are turbid, and lung-heat and yellow pus and smelly nose, Hu Ke generalizes. It is also said to treat epistaxis, tooth pain, eyebrow and bone pain, all Yangming heat upset is pain, the ancient method occasionally uses Angelica dahurica, originally added to the ejaculation agent, with the meaning of quoting meridians, but listed as special Article, equal to the main medicine of the king, isn’t it ridiculous! Angelica dahurica is pungent and warm, aromatic and dry, relieves wind and dispels cold, ascends the boss to clear the orifice, can also dry dampness and raise yang, reach the skin externally, and refresh the qi internally. Its function is similar to that of Chuanxiong and Ligusticum.
